On August 27, actress Mercy Johnson and her hubby Prince Okojie celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary with stunning family photos that took the internet by storm.
The pair got married on August 27, 2011, and their union is blessed with four children. Mercy Johnson and her hubby had a family photoshoot to mark their anniversary and they looked absolutely stunning.
Mercy’s husband came up with the concept of the celebration which also coincided with her birthday. Recall that videos that popped up on the internet to this effect show an emotional Mercy Johnson shedding tears after she was overwhelmed with so much emotions.
Her colleagues were in attendance to add their aura to the event. Notable amongst them was Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) and his wife Jumobi Adegbesan-Damijo. Also, in attendance were Charles Inojie, Ufoma Mcdermott, Nuella Njubigbo, Juliet Ibrahim, Toyin Abraham, Yvonne Jegede, Anita Asuoha aka Real Warri Pikin, Sinach as well as loved ones, and her fans.
Decades ago when Mercy’s blossoming career was in full flight, she was banned from acting for being too expensive on the 3rd of November, 2013, the movie marketers of Nollywood threatened to prohibit her from the industry due to her high demands.
She and co-Nollywood stars such as Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Richard Mofe Damijo, Emeka Ike, Ramsey Nouah, Nkem Owoh, Stella Damasus and Jim Iyke were prohibited from acting, for reportedly demanding outrageous pay raise per movie.
However, the ban was lifted by marketers/producers on the 9th of March, 2014, following an apology from the actress.
Well, as far as this report is concerned Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson was chosen by Mercy Jonhson to be her bridesmaid. Yeah, that sounds intriguing, and to mark her anniversary, the throwback photo of that moment when Yvonne Nelson was spotted going about her duties has surfaced online.
